Aidan Turner lands new role in "The Secret Scripture"

Aidan recently spoke of his next upcoming film project with Irish director Jim Sheridan called The Secret Scripture.

The film adaptation of Sebastian Barry's 2008 novel is due to go into production in January and features an all-star cast, including Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave, Eric Bana, Jack Reynor and actress Rooney Mara. The film revolves around a woman's extended stay at a mental hospital.

It has not yet been revealed which character Aidan will portray, but he seems very enthusiatic about the project!

"It's got a good few heads in it so it should be exciting," Turner told the Herald.
