The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

Aidan plays dwarf, Kíli, one of the twelve companions of Thorin and Bilbo in part 1 of the Peter Jackson film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. He and his brother Fíli were the sons of Dís, Thorin's sister. The two brothers are considered young in Dwarf terms and are consistently described as very cheerful.

A smooth talking, struggling artist who falls for his model and true inspiration, Lizzie Siddal. Aidan plays the role of the father in this film that tells the story of a moment in the life of an eighteen year old boy. In the time and space of a single moment, the boy makes contact with his past and future and staring into the face of his own death, becomes aware that he is alive.

Aidan plays the young doctor Theodoro whose female patient is undergoing a very particular, and rather depressing treatment.

In this updated William Shakespeare classic, Aidan played Paris, a handsome, somewhat self-absorbed, very wealthy suitor of Juliet. However, despite his occasional arrogance, he loves Juliet dearly.

Cyrano (2007)

Cyrano is a celebrity chef  that competes with the young hotshot Christian, for the affections of the beautiful food critic, Roxanne. The classic tale of a very big desire and an even bigger nose is played out in a contemporary world, where what you look like and how successful you are, is everything.

In story number 8 - Aidan plays a young man who works out alongside a young girl  who is playing Schubert on the piano in the sitting room of a house. The subtitles reveal the story of these strange characters and the music that can be heard.

Drive-by (2006 & 2007)

Get in your car and drive to the edge of town where the badland backroads of the boy racer skid to a halt. Turn on your headlights. Tune in your radio. Take it all in. The speed freaks, the drifters and the stove jockeys. Drive-by was a site-specific performance viewed by audiences from their own car, with sound transmitted through their car radios.​

The Crock Of Gold (2006)

The leprechauns have had their crock of gold stolen and this plunges society into a state of imbalance, while the Philosopher and Caitlin are on their own journeys to find the source of their happiness.

In this work of Shakespeare, Aidan performed as Demetrius, one of Tamora's sadistic sons, who assault and mutilate Lavinia so that she will be unable to testify against them.

Battling the Cyclops security guard, eluding the Sexy Sirens of the typing pool and braving the 'underworld' of R&D. It's just another day at the office for exec Jason as he embarks on a funny, futuristic, quest for the mysterious 'Golden Fleece'. This production melds Greek myth with technicolour office comedies where mascara-drenched eyelashes flicker in time to a syncopated beat, and the secretaries who inhabit the mythical landscape between clock-in and clock-out kick off their high heels for risque dance sequences.

The plot of the play is this: Doctor Cukrowicz is visiting the home of one Violet Venable, a recluse but rich eccentric who travels about her home in a wheelchair and by elevator. It comes to pass that Ms. Venable would like Dr. Cukrowicz to perform some operation on her niece, Catharine Holly. Catherine has been spending the past few months in an insane asylum, after witnessing the horrible death of Violet Venable's son, Sebastian.

Nightshift is a short play commissioned for The Gaiety School of Acting and was performed as part of their graduation show, in June 2004. The play stars Aidan Turner along side his fellow classmate Paul Reid. - Directed by Ioanna Anderson.
